Cole--there was tons of 3GS stock available last year. Did you have to go to a different store? How late did you arrive?

How can I install GCC without Xcode? Most of the information I can find states I need Xcode.
I apologize for the tone of the first post; I am moderately frustrated (and probably shouldn't be).
Thanks to everyone who replied.

First off, Mpeg streamclip if used to convert an MTS file to Apple Pro Res 422 would not reduce the quality of the video and you can set the framerate to 60fps.
As for the video in premiere not looking as sharp, could it be that it was out of focus to begin with or the fact that you have not rendered your video? A sharpening plugin is really a joke, it won't add any more detail to your video than what you already have.
As for 60fps vs 24fps, the only real way you will notice is if you originally shot in 24p. When you convert from 60 to 24 it's not the same as natively recording at 24fps and most of the time it is hard to see the difference unless you know what you are looking for.
When exporting to mp4 you are compressing the video so you have to find the balance between a large file size and quality or low quality and file size.

Interesting pic.
Not that I have any reason to disbelieve this pic, but has anyone done the usual close-up examinations, looking for photoshopping such as Toms Hardware got caught doing with an "exclusive preview" of unreleased P4's?

I love my iPad 2 but after playing with it for weeks I don't think the iPad 2 is far superior than the iPad 1 ,it's faster but the iPad 1 is fast enough I would say + the iPad 2 cameras is a thumb up but the quality is dreadful so 1 thumb down .
I say go for the iPad 1 , and if you buy now AT&T website has a super promo where you can buy a new 64gb wifi + 3G model for only $529!! Hella cheap
do you want to account for the new form factor at all? or does the weight/size not matter?

yes, Mr. Taxi! That's it! Mountain Dew is already selling insanely well, meanwhile Pepsi was probably on the verge of getting sued for false advertising because Sierra Mist tastes crap, and nothing like a making-out with a hot chick after she rubs ice, lemon, and lime on her lips (believe me, this has been tested :D)
Therefore, MD sales need no boost while people are trying to GIVE Sierra Mist away!

Video-card might be shot. Or, like with my MacBook Pro which didn't turn on randomly one day, the Logic Board could be dead.
Of course, those are the worst case scenarios.

For those that are interested in anime, I just noticed that Trigun is now being streamed on Netflix. It's a very good anime series and I recommend watching at least the first six episodes.

sounds interesting, but full stylus control for me could get a bit annoying. I'll wait till it arrives and I've played before I get too excited. I don't like always having to use my stylus. I'm frequently playing on crammed trains and the like so holding the DS loosely in one hand and trying to grip that tiny stylus in the other isn't too fun. But bouncing Ryu around with a touch of the screen could be fun...but almost seems to easy...

last time i checked there were no rules on what websites you could and couldn't put online.
iPod mini is a new product from apple. I knew it would be a popular product so i decided to make a site about it. Yes.. i realize that the mini and original iPod are very similar. But still, how many iPod "mini" websites are out there??
...any "new" iPod Mini users out there? Not just some Original iPod owner who may not be as excited about the Mini as I am??

Sounds like the wifi chip was ready to die and on its last leg.
Deactivating the sim had nothing to do with it, just happened around the same time.
so when it worked was just a fluke? :(
Is there any way to get it fixed for cheap? I wanted to give this phone to my sis overseas.

Generally, going from any audio format to any lossless audio format definitely results in no degradation of audio quality or loss of any audio data. This is similar to compressing the audio data into a ZIP archive and then extracting it later. Depending on the format and the converter program, you might lose some metadata though, which you should keep in mind if that is important to you.
Encoding any audio source into a format that employs lossy data compression, even if the source is already lossy, will result in (further) data loss, although not necessarily a (perceptible) degradation of audio quality.
I feel like this can't be stated often enough. It's frustrating how often one runs across completely irrational posts on the web where people seriously argue the (audio quality) benefits of uncompressed LPCM audio data versus audio files compressed in a lossless format.

Does that say leet speak? It took me awhile to figure it out. Who types like that anyway? It just takes more time and less people understand you.

BetterTouchTool is an application which allows you to configure plenty of gestures, both on your Magic Mouse and on your Trackpad (if you have one). So just choose one of the gestures the program offers you and assign it to expose. Below is the link.

Hi People,
I have finished editing a short film in Final Cut Pro, i exported to quicktime movie, put that in idvd and burnt a dvd. My project was shot and edited in 16:9 pro res 422 HQ
So I play it on my computer, and it looks fine; when i play it in my dvd player it appears to have been zoomed in a bit. So i use my remote control to zoom the screen out so that it appears in the middle of the screen smaller, and i can see the full frame as it was meant to be played. Ive tried playing my dvd on a different tv (all widescreen digital ones) and even through a playstation 2 and it still appears zoomed in. Please help!

I believe you can run up to 10.2.8 on a Beige, but I agree that it's getting a bit too old to be usable these days.
