There are tons of lipsticks available in both the drug stores and also from high end brands which makes it really had to know what is actually worth buying. I have a whole box full of lipsticks some of which i love and some of which i wish i didn't bother buying so i'm here to tell you the ones which are worth your time. I have picked 5 lip products which are all of a similar shade but are all from different brands so there is a little something for everyone.
Muted pink nudes are my favourite lipsticks and it is the shade i always gravitate towards when i am in a store looking to buy something. The first two lipsticks are from Revlon the first one i want to speak about is the Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive. Everyone needs a go to matte lipstick which they can just apply with no worries as to how long it is going to last. The matte balms are amazing, they are not too trying and they last a long time. at £7.99 they are completely worth it and i highly recommend buying one. The only problem with these are the scent, they have a slightly minty fragrance which you can still slightly smell when you are wearing them but it does eventually go.
The second Revlon product is brand new to the UK market but have been in America for quite a while, therefore they have been spoken about a lot by bloggers such as Fleur de Force and Glamlifeguru and it is the Ultra HD lipsticks. There is a large shade range and they are all named after flowers but i absolutely love the shade Rose, it has a slight coral tint to it whenever i wear this i always get complements on it which is always a good sign. It is a more moisurising lipstick and it has a slight shimmer to it, they smell amazing, kind of like sweets. Once again they are £7.99 so if you like something a little less matte then this would be better than the other Revlon lipstick.
The final drug store lipstick is from Bourjois which is a brand i don't usually use but there was so much hype about the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks that i had to buy one so i got it in the shade Don't Pink of It! These are extremely matte and they are more long lasting than the Revlon Matte Balms. However the formula is very different, the Bourjois lipsticks are almost silicone like, they feel more like a gel when you apply them but once they have set they stay on the lips for hours. They are more drying than the Revlon balms and they have a strange chemical smell but they are amazing for long days at work or a night out. At £8.99 they are a very strange consistency but it is worth trying for that long lasting colour.
The next lipstick has been one of my favourites for ages and i think everyone should have at least one MAC lipstick and this is a shade that would suit almost anyone, it would just vary how dark it would be on you. Peach Blossom is a nude that has a slightly more peach tone rather than pink. It is a cremesheen formula from MAC which is my favourite out of all of the MAC lispticks. At £15.50 it is a bit more expensive than the others but you really do need a MAC lipstick.
Nars lipsticks are absolutely incredible and with the price tag of £24 i should bloody hope so. The shade i have is called Anita and i feel so luxurious when i apply it. It is a creamy texture but it is also very matte which is exactly what i like about a lip stick. It looks amazing with a smoky eye look and makes it more day time appropriate. This lipstick doesn't really have a scent which is a refreshing change to lip products and means that you don't have to smell it when it is applied.
These are the five different lip products i highly recommend and i think you should totally try all of them because they are all my favourite lipsticks even if you can't have them all then pick one and get it because they are all incredible.
